Officer Lee Lawshe

In April 2013, Officer Lawshe participated in the search for a murdered woman. After the operation was turned over to him, Officer Lawshe coordinated with the St. Johns county sheriff’s office to grid a search area. While searching the area, Officer Lawshe recovered the woman’s body using special search techniques and strong communication. In June, Officer Lawshe aided in the recovery of a missing man who had been lost in the woods for six days and was suffering from hypothermia. It is believed the man would not be alive today if not for Officer Lawshe’s efforts.
Officer Lawshe’s passion for the outdoors led him to his career with Florida Fish and Wildlife where every day, he works to truly make a difference. His success is a result of his humble demeanor, superior work ethic and positive attitude. He is constantly working to improve himself and make a difference for those around him. Officer Lawshe is looked up to by other officers and is an excellent team player both within his own agency as well as with partner agencies. This past year, Officer Lawshe has been exemplary in representing the agency in a positive manner and in upholding what the agency stands for.
