WHAT IS THE STATE LAW ENFORCEMENT CHIEFS’ ASSOCIATION (SLECA)?
Message from the President
Hello, on behalf of the Executive Board and members, welcome to the State Law Enforcement Chiefs’ Association (SLECA) website. The Association was formed to provide training and educational opportunities that will enable members to better manage state law enforcement agencies, foster and promote better mutual understanding among different types of state law enforcement functions as well as promote professional and ethical conduct and competency in the field of law enforcement. Moreover, to provide outreach and public awareness on issues effecting state law enforcement agencies.
Crime has no boundaries. State law enforcement challenges include drug trafficking, terrorism, human trafficking, cybercrimes, highway and waterway safety, fraud, and threats to our public officials. SLECA provides a resource for state agency chiefs to collaborate, engage in information sharing, and exchange best practices and lessons learned.
Sincerely,
